10m Air Pistol

Air Pistol shooting joined the Olympic program in 1988. Competitors use .177 calibre pistols to fire lead pellets at targets 10 meters away. The trigger must have a minimum trigger pull weight of 500g.

Air Pistol is a 60 shot match.

15 minutes Equipment setup followed by 15 minutes Preparation time
and unlimited sighting shots.


The match is then shot over 90 minutes. Some competitions are shot on electronic target systems, in which case, the competition is shot over 75 minutes.
